Drawings

I use line to create geometric abstractions that connect space and material with my interests in mapmaking, time, and dimension. The drawings are created using one continuous line. I see them as a representation of me never really feeling comfortable. The drawings continue to change and evolve as I work on them. Currently I am painting the negative space of the path which allows the viewer to either concentrate on the line or the shapes and allows me to remind myself to focus on the things going on around me during the journey. The addition of the geometric shapes work as a scaffolding of sorts. I view them as a support and connective material to line or journey.
