I was born in 1975 in Vancouver, Washington but spent most my childhood in Illinois. I am currently living and working in Connecticut. My education and experiences have helped me to continue to refine a visual & conceptual vocabulary that consists of the points of intersection between drawing, architecture, sculpture and the relationship between time and space. Abstraction. I make abstract drawings rooted in map making and portraits rooted in mental health. My M.F.A. in Painting is from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Prior to that I received my B.F.A. in Painting from Northern Illinois University. I have been a college professor since 2010.
